University of Peshawar UPESH

University of Peshawar is a public sector university located in Peshawar (KPK). It is the only public sector general university due to which all the public and private colleges and higher education institutes of KPK are affiliated with Peshawar University. Peshawar University has its main campus in Peshawar while it also has a sub campus in Bara Gali (Abbottabad). UoP was established in 1950 and it is one of the oldest universities of Pakistan. In 2013, Peshawar University was ranked number 3 by HEC in general education. Peshawar University has many departments and it offers education in different faculties of arts, science, commerce, IT, law and others. Apart from regular students, several private students also register themselves with the university for different subjects and groups of BA and MA classes.

In Peshawar University and the colleges affiliated with the university, admission and registration process of new students for different classes starts two or three months before the start of new academic year. Within time, this admission process completes in the Peshawar University and also in its affiliated institutes.

Model papers and past papers are helpful for the students in getting good marks in the exams. Model papers are made according to the latest paper pattern and examination schedule adopted by the university while past papers inform the students about important questions. Model papers can be downloaded from official site of the university while past papers can be purchased from the market. Peshawar University issues the date sheets of different exams two months before the start of the exams. Date sheets are available at the official site of university and students can know about their examination schedule through these date sheets. Roll number slips are mailed to the students by the university one month earlier than the start of their exams. These roll number slips contain examination venue, time table and other important things apart from the roll numbers of the students.

UoP declares results of different classes at an appropriate time after their exams. Results are uploaded by university at their official site soon after their announcement by the university while the concerned students receive their result cards at their addresses few days after the announcement of the results.
